I started attending NPAS as a student 6 years ago taking a range of classes in all the things I was passionate about. I was super nervous as a lot of the students my age had been in the school since they were very young. I quickly learned I had nothing to worry about as everyone was welcoming and inclusive, and I made friends in no time. Spending my Saturdays in The Factory, learning and performing was always the highlight of my week.
The agency represented me and helped me land my first professional role at 16, and many after. It had been my dream to be an actor since I was a child and before NPAS I thought it would stay just a dream.
Outside of NPAS I studied drama and performing arts and obtained a distinction at QQI Level 6. I am now starting the BA course in The Lir. Without NPAS I wouldn’t have had the confidence to audition for either course, the Irish Board of Speech and Drama exams I participated in with NPAS  prepared me for what third level education in the arts was like.
