The National Performing Arts School Summer Camps have been running during July and August for almost 30 years. Each Summer we welcome Students who have been with us as well as lots of new Students to experience what the school has to offer. We often recommend that children and young people who are new to NPAS take a Summer Camp Course to see what classes the would like to do during the school year. The choices of camp stretch across everything NPAS has to offer. From Dance to Drama, and Musical Theatre to Film Making, there really is something for everyone. This year we have 5 weeks of Summer Camp for 4-7 year olds, and 7 – 14 year olds. With some of the best and most highly experienced teachers, and super cool venues, our Summer Camps are exactly what anyone interested in the performing arts is looking for. Summer Camp is a special time of year for NPAS when you get to spend a week with Students, and you get to meet and make new friends. There are also sometimes theatre trips which are unforgettable. Every year we have a huge number of repeat students who love coming to spend time with us each Summer. We really can’t recommend these courses enough for anyone who enjoys theatre, film, musicals, acting or dance. There is no better way to spend a week or two during Summer, and with the following options we have something for everyone! See you in Summer 2024!

Performing arts camp
The performing arts summer camp course will cover lots of classes we do at the school. From various types of dance class, to drama and acting, singing and musical theatre this class gives you a taste of what it is like to be at NPAS. We often suggest this course for anyone who wants to come to the school in September, but doesn’t yet know which class they want to do. The Summer Camp will give you the perfect opportunity to try everything out. It is for all-rounders who would like to try something new, and for existing students who want to continue to have a fun and exciting time with us. We know you’ll love it!

MUSICAL THEATRE
If you are always listening to The 100 Greatest Musical Songs on Spotify, or if you can’t get enough of Hamilton, Six and Wicked, then this is the Camp for you! Our Musical Theatre Camp is a whopper week filled with all the latest and greatest musicals from The West End and Broadway. Our team of Singing, Dancing and Acting Tutors will lead you through a week of fun and theatre from the moment you arrive in the morning on the first day, to the last minute on the Friday. Theatre Dance, amazing routines, history of musicals and so much more will all form part of this week. And there is even a chance to go and see SHREK the musical in the Mecca of Irish Musical Theatre – our Neighbour, The Bord Gais Theatre. This course combines so many aspects of what we do at NPAS that we feel it is perfect for everyone!
This year we are thrilled to have three age groups, including our fantastic 4-6 year old NPASers!. We can’t wait wait to see our little Olivers, Annies and Matildas, and our older Alexander Hamiltons and Elphebas!
MAKe a movie
For all our budding Actors, Directors, Writers and Producers, this is the Summer Camp for you. Taught by the Multi-Media Team at NPAS you will have so much fun creating original content, storyboarding your scripts, and then producing your work to have forever as part of your showreel. A lot of students know which part of the movie-making process they are most interested in, and we work to build a cast and crew for a short film which will suit everyone’s skill set. Some of our students want to act, and some want to work behind the camera. Everyone will get a chance to get a taste of all aspects of the movie-making process, even down to hair, wardrobe and makeup! This busy, exciting week will culminate in the whole group creating an original short movie which they will then get to edit, score, download and keep forever. We will see you on set!
