The Factory

The Factory has been a very special place in Dublin for well over a quarter Century, and we have been lucky enough to be the cornerstone of that history. The building is of very special interest both culturally and historically but also provides an amenity for the Dublin not provided by anyone else. Put simply, it’s like nowhere else in the country. It has been a rehearsal space for everyone from the Bolshoi Ballet and Riverdance to U2 and Shirley Bassey. It has played host to leading writers and producers, among them Neil Jordan and Lenny Abrahmsen, international acting stars like Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy, Saoirse Ronan and Jack Reynor and seen recordings by David Bowie and Britney Spears. We as part of The Factory at NPAS been fortunate enough to see thousands of talented and creative young people pass through the  doors at NPAS at The Factory and we are proud of our continuing role in providing performing arts classes for up to 1,000 young people and their families each year. This will continue at some fabulous new ‘Guest Venues’ while The Factory is being redeveloped. the road towards The New Factory has begun – during the redevelopment we will be working with architects and engineers, planners and the developers to make sure that the atmosphere and very special which the Factory has always had will continue into the future. We are so excited about the future of the school, and about everything that lies ahead.
